
Michael C. Schofel

Mr. Schofel is a Partner in the Eastman Companies. A specialist in construction and development since 1980, Mr. Schofel is responsible for the successful completion of Eastman Construction Company's commercial, industrial and office facilities, and he has been the moving force behind the company's highly successful renovation and design/build operations.
A graduate of the University of Rochester, Mr. Schofel has completed specialized courses in real estate financing and HVAC design and installation among a host of others. Mr. Schofel is deeply involved in community and industry activities. He has served as President of the Livingston Area Chamber of Commerce, as a Board Member of the Livingston YMCA, as a Board Member of Essex County Division of the American Heart Association, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Daughters of Israel Geriatric Center for 16 years and Executive Board Member. He is currently a current board member of Jewish Housing Corporation, and is a member of BOMA, IREM, CoreNet Global, IOREBA and EO. He is a licensed broker in the State of New Jersey.

Peter E. Schofel, RPA, CPA
Partner and President
Since 1990, Mr. Schofel has successfully directed the entire scope of real estate operations for Eastman Management Corporation, which today boasts a portfolio consisting of 1.5 million square feet of Class A office, retail and industrial space. A Partner in the Eastman Companies, he distinguished himself during the real estate crisis of the early 1990's by repositioning several Class B properties into Class A facilities. Noteworthy among these was the negotiation of a lease buyout of the original tenant at the 400,000 square foot Eisenhower Corporate Center, in Livingston, NJ. Prior to the market's recovery, Mr. Schofel secured a new long-term lease with the Prudential Insurance Corporation of America. The transaction also included a simultaneous re-negotiation and refinancing with the property's lender.
Prior to joining Eastman, he held positions as Controller at Integrated Resources and Brookhill Management Corp., national real estate syndication shopping center owners. There his responsibilities ranged from handling financial operations for over 80 retail, commercial, industrial, and residential properties of the Property Management Subsidiary to corporate liaison with property managers, tenants and brokers. Some of the trophy properties he worked with were Pierre Bossier Mall, Shreveport, LA, USX Tower, Pittsburgh, 595 Madison Avenue and Two Wall Street, and 185 Devonshire, Boston.
Mr. Schofel is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP), where he also serves on the Board of Trustees; National Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives (NACORE); International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). He is a Certified Public Accountant, a licensed real estate salesperson and a Real Property Administrator.

Roger Stachler
Development Manager Senior Advisor to Construction
With more than 38 years of experience in design, development and construction, Mr. Stachler is
one of the industry's most prominent and well-respected figures. He formerly was President of
Stachler Construction Co. a general contractor for private and public sectors clients such as the
U.S. Army, Navy, Marines and Corps of Engineers. He subsequently held positions as Project Manager
and Senior Project Manager/Vice President at Sutton Construction and Mack Construction.
As President of P.S. Pipeline Company, he gained additional expertise in site development and
contracting in extensive and difficult site work for the Bergen Record facility in Rockaway, Hewlett
Packard and Prime Motor Inns. Mr. Stachler originally joined Eastman in 1978, rejoined the company
in 1989, and has been a member of the Eastman Construction Team for fifteen years. As the Executive
Vice President of Construction, he is in charge of the company's supervisory and on-site
construction personnel on a day-to-day basis. As the point man for important projects such as the
expansion of the Winners Club at the Continental Airlines Arena, exterior and interior renovations
for Schipparelli Biosystems, transforming a school into a facility for handicapped children for
Cerebral Palsy of North Jersey, Astro Bowl Renovations which involved turning a bowling alley into
retail stores, and various projects at Styertowne Shopping Plaza in Clifton, Mr. Stachler is
eminently qualified to lead Eastman Construction into the 21st Century.

Eric J. Maurer, CPA
Director of Leasing
Mr. Maurer oversees the leasing campaign functions for the entire Eastman portfolio of 1,500,000 SF of office, retail and industrial space, including tours, lease negotiation and execution, and tenant and broker relations.
Mr. Maurer's post-collegiate career began as an audit CPA for Deloitte & Touche in Parsippany. He joined the real estate marketplace with Bender & Company, Inc. in Livingston, where he learned the agency side of the leasing process for 6 years. His responsibilities included leasing and reporting for several large A-class buildings in Northern New Jersey, co-authoring several successful lease-up campaigns and investment sales.
Immediately prior to joining Eastman, Mr. Maurer worked at Resource Realty in Parsippany for 8 years, where he acted as tenant rep for scores of office, industrial and investment sale transactions with Fortune 500 companies and technology companies in the Northern New Jersey marketplace.
Mr. Maurer earned a B.S. in Accounting from Lehigh University and the CPA designation in the State of New Jersey. He is currently co-chairman of the Metro Region American Cancer Society Golf Outing, which raises $150,000 annually for cancer research.
